Peaches will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. She needs follow-up for an ear infection.
Peaches is a recent mill dog rescue. She is learning about love and the life of freedom. She is sweet, good natured, and already likes cuddling.
Peaches is a lover! She wants nothing more than to be in your lap and be loved as much as you're willing to let her. She loves to run outside and practice her jackrabbit impersonations. We were told that she has a history of fence jumping so whe will need a secure 6 foot fence. Her energy level is somewhere between active & playful and high energy. She would be her best self with a daily walk to burn some of her exuberance. She's good with most adults if you're patient. She is still a little frightened of people she doesn't know but is very loving to all who introduce themselves and let her get to know them. Peaches is good with teenagers. I don't know how she would react with kids who move or behave unpredictably, but older children who are gentle would connect well with her.
Peaches is good with medium dogs but can be reactive. She is currently expressing some resource guarding behaviors but has been adapting to a multi-dog household relatively well. Peaches is learning to sit, off, and lay down. She is crate trained. Peaches is working on housetraining. She knows how to use a dog door but doesn't have the instinct to automatically go outside when she needs to go potty.
Peaches will make a wonderful companion to someone who wants to have a furry little partner to hang out with.
