Loki looks like an eternal puppy and is usually floppy, goofy and lovey. He enjoys cuddles and loves to play with whatever he thinks is a toy, which sometimes, is garbage. He gets "mouthy" but never hurts a human on purpose. He knows his name, the commands "sit" and "shake". He is terrible on a leash and will pull and bark and lunge at other dogs - most of the time just to meet them, but you never know for sure. He is usually good with our other dogs, but has attacked both of them in the past without provocation - he's not good with new/strange dogs. He is usually good with our cat, but has randomly attacked him and likes to annoy him. He is usually good with all kids, but he does try to mount young children and can get aggressive about it. He has never attacked an adult or a human but has growled at both. He should not be trusted to be alone with any kids under 12. He can be territorial about his food. He is "allergic" to most (if not all) regular dog foods but has done well over the last 3 years on a strict diet of Royal Canin Hydrolized Protein dry food - which can be prescribed by a vet and bought at Banfield/PetSmart or on Chewy. He shouldn't have any treats that aren't all natural. When I first got him, he got sick and I had to get a series of x-rays done, which showed that he was either severely abused in a past home, or was hit by a car at some point - as he has deterioration of his hips and shoulders and tends to "splay out" when on a slippery floor. He does very well on long car rides. He gets excited at first, and will bark at people at drive-throughs. But he settles down nicely and can be in a car for long rides but should be separated from kids or other animals. He loves his bed and his crate with a blanket over it and will go in willingly at night. He loves scratches and cuddles, and will sit on your lap or near you for hours if you let him. He will also give you a face bath if you allow it. If you sit him on your lap like a human and move his arms around, he will make noises like a gremlin. He also looks like a chicken breast when you groom his hair short - though he is not a fan of the grooming process. He's floppy and loveable and deserves to be happy in a home that is right for him. I love him and I will miss him.
