Jazzy was released from a puppy mill breeder in Kansas early in 2025. While in Kansas she had mammary tumors removed and was treated for ear and urinary track infections. Since she spent six years trapped in a breeder hellish environment, she does require a routine and quiet environment with low activity and low stress. She will require someone who has the patience to continue to work with her to build her confidence, her emotional separation anxiety, and continuation of her house training. She has had chronic bladder issues which are stable at this time. She has also had the usual Cocker ear issues which are also stable at this time. Jazzy is truly learning what "living a good life" can be like, and she is open to meeting her true love match and someone loving and patient who will help continue her training and care.
This little girl is a petite Cocker and is very submissive. She does warm up to people relatively quickly and she loves treats! Jazzy is well behaved while getting a bath and having her hair clipped. Since coming to Colorado Jazzy has learned to use a dog door and sometimes goes as long as twenty-four hours without an accident. She loves to watch and chase the neighborhood squirrels that run along the fence line and appear in the trees.
Jazzy is a gorgeous sable Cocker Spaniel that will require time as she continues to learn what life is like outside of the puppy mill. She sometimes will cry but once you talk to her she stops. She will need a fenced in backyard and another dog in the home. Though shy, she will come to her foster Mom frequently for pets.
