Foster update: Gideon has learned so much in our time together! He is smart, playful, and loving. Gideon is very food motivated-a typical cocker in that regard! This is so helpful with training. He sits upon returning from the back yard and waits for a treat. He still does some marking in house and needs to be monitored. He has been responding to treats when doing his potty outside, as a way of training to not mark in the house. Gideon wants to be a good boy and is busy trying to figure it all out! He rests quietly in his crate during nighttime sleeping. He enjoys 2 to 3 walks a day, loving the wildlife in our area and the abundant smells on the grasses. He is learning to walk on a leash. And he does keep track of his people by following along room to room throughout the house!
Gideon has the sweetest face and a loving disposition to match.
History: Gideon is one of our recent mill dog rescues. He arrived fearful and anxious , but gentle. He is learning about so many new things including how to go out doors to potty. He is surprisingly friendly and curious. I have been able to hold his face, pet him, rub his ears and feet. Gideon is trying so hard to learn potty training but sometimes he makes a mistake in the house. Learning is a new thing.
