Ghost will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption.
Please help this angel of a dog find his forever home!
Ghost was discovered on abandoned property in Alabama. He is deaf or hard of hearing and blind. Can you imagine his fear? Ghost has Microphthalmia, a condition that affects the development of the dog's eyes. It is a rare congenital condition in which the eyeballs are abnormally small. After a complicated transfer to Colorado from Alabama he is now in his loving foster home once again trying to adjust to all the recent changes in his young life.
This guy finds his way around by smell and feel. He is a very active, high energy young dog. We are still not sure how old he is, but he has been estimated to be about 4 years old. He seems younger. Ghost enjoys going for walks, freedom in the back yard and playing with toys. He is defensive around big dogs. He is a little bossy with the other Cocker Spaniel in his foster home. Ghost is always excited to be pet or picked up and cuddled. He enjoys lounging with you but also likes to play. He is such a happy dog.
More to come after vet intake and several more days in his foster home.
