Brownie is normally a happy, copacetic dog. He knows most of the basic commands, including sit, stay, go to bed, out, and sit up. He also behaves on a leash and enjoys going for walks. He likes to be petted but does not like to picked up. He barks when individuals come to the door or if people show up for landscaping or pool services. He has lived on a ranch, and he likes to explore. He would be best in a fenced yard. He would be quick to attach to a new owner, and would look for attention. He loves to have his ears rubbed
Brownie has had some situations where he has bitten individuals. He bit a child many years ago, so he has been restricted from being with children. He also is jealous of new dogs brought into the home. He attacked a puppy when he felt threatened. He recently bit a contractor when he reached for something that was laying next to him. He is being surrendered because I am going to be taking care of small children all summer, and I do not want a negative incident with Brownie and I do not want to lock him up in his kennel all summer.
He wants to be with people, and gets separation anxiety if he is separated from people.
