Here’s the scoop on life with Bandit:
* Navigates like a champ: Bandit is non-visual in his leftt eye (scheduled for removal before adoption) and has limited vision in his right. But you’d hardly know it from watching him—he cruises through the home and handles stairs with total confidence.
* The "Bandit shuffle": While he’s only three years old, Bandit moves with the relaxed, meandering pace of an old gentleman soaking up retirement. On walks, he takes his sweet time taking in every scent. Indoors, he loves weaving directly between your feet, so he’s best suited for nimble folks who don't mind stepping around a very devoted, slow-moving speed bump.
* Dog & animal friends: Bandit enjoys canine company and loves to play rough-and-tumble with small-to-large dog buddies who can handle his rowdy play style. Due to his limited eyesight and a lingering spaniel prey drive, he mistakes cats and pint-sized fluffy dogs for backyard bunnies, so he will need a home without cats or toy breeds.
* House manners: A total rockstar. He is fully potty-trained and happily snoozes in his crate all night. He can also be trusted to free-roam in a puppy-proofed home without getting into mischief.
* Health & care: Bandit has epilepsy, but it is beautifully managed with inexpensive medication given twice a day in his food bowl with breakfast and dinner. He hasn't had a single seizure while in his current foster home and takes his easy daily routine completely in stride.
Bandit doesn't need grueling hikes or frantic games of fetch—just sturdy canine pals, a cozy spot right across your feet, and a family ready to adore him back. He'd also be happy being an only dog as well if you don't have other animals.
