River will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. She needs to be spayed. River must be adopted with Millie R 25019, as Millie is very bonded to River.
River is a wonderful dog! The vet says she might be as young as two years old. Due to her high energy, she really needs a fenced yard. She is super sweet, very active and agile. We have been told that River was good with children, but she has not been exposed to children in foster care. River has been trained and will come when called. She is doggie door trained. She doesn’t seem to like the crate. River seems to like riding in the car, she will jump right in.
New photos have been requested.
River’s history: River is a Cocker Spaniel. Millie is a Corgi-Mix. They were dumped together on a cold and rainy Christmas Eve at a Wildlife Rehab Center in Missouri. They were found soaking wet, cuddled up and shivering. Millie is very bonded to River. In the foster home here in Colorado there has been struggling between Millie and the foster’s own dog. We feel that it is best to move Millie and River to a home without other dogs, or perhaps with a larger dog, to give them a better chance of settling in.
