Zoey will remain in the Recovery Room until medically cleared.
Zoey and Toby came into rescue after their owner suddenly passed away. They will need to be adopted together. Zoey is a sweet little pup. She doesn't need constant pets but does prefer to lay at your feet than to be separated from you. She is a bit wary of people at first (skittish) so having a safe corner for her to go if there are visitors would be nice for her. She has never showed any aggression towards our two-year-old but does not seek her out either. She has attached to her lifetime companion Toby, but quickly started palling around with our slightly larger dog. So, I think she would do best with another gentle canine companion but may do ok with an owner she could be around the whole day as well. They were not exposed to cats, but nothing about her demeanor indicates to me she would attack them. She doesn't seem to know any commands but is a nice dog none the less. She is accustomed to hopping on furniture, so that may be difficult to untrain her if that is your house rule.
