Yentl 25-18026-2

Hi! My Name Is Yentl 25-18026-2

I'm Available

Ms. Yentl is full of sweetness with bouts of playful energy between naps but takes a while to warm up. When she first arrived at my foster home, she was highly reactive, scared of everyone (dogs and humans alike), and barked at us any time we were near. Slowly, she grew to trust again and now follows me everywhere, readily rolls over for belly rubs, and sleeps by my side. She also enjoys my teenage son and his friends who patiently waited for her to warm up to them; now she greets them with enthusiasm.    When she first arrived, I put her in a crate when I left home, but now she is free to roam the house in my absence and does fine. She loves the round soft dog beds scattered throughout my house and is typically resting in one while I work at my computer but eagerly arouses to follow me anytime I leave the room.

Happily, Yentl has learned how to play and often carries around her favorite squeaky toy. When she wags her tail, her whole body joins in. She LOVES going on walks but pulls like a champion so she could use some training in that respect.

Yentl would do well as the only dog in a household but would also be comfortable living with the right dog. She loved my former foster dog, who seemed to sense she needed support and snuggled with her and kissed her face, but she is still reactive to the new dog in my home at this time, although her reactivity is slowly abating. She has come such a long way since her arrival and has blossomed into a loving and devoted companion with a heart of gold.
