Hi, my name is Daisy. I am a sweet little old lady who came into RMCR with my best friend and sister, Ivy, the day after Christmas. I have a little arthritis. We were SO sad and scared to leave our daddy, but, he just was not able to take care of us anymore.
When I arrived at my foster home, I REALLY felt crummy. My teeth and mouth really, really hurt. So, I wasn't eating hardly anything at all. The vet said I was underweight. But I felt so bad and was so sad, I didn't want to eat anything. I had not been groomed in a SUPER long time either. My hair was so matted that it hurt to walk and move around. Even my feet hurt because my nails were so long. But the wonderful people at RMCR worked on getting me all cleaned up and more comfy. Then, they took me to the vet and he fixed my painful mouth. I lost most of my teeth, but I still have 8 left. Once I finally started feeling better, I figured out that I could eat without pain. Now I am eating all my healthy breakfast and dinner each day and I have gained a little weight. I like my food to be on a plate, instead of a bowl. It just works better for me.
Now that I am feeling better, I like to dance and gallop when I am happy. Foster Mom says I look like a cross between a deer and a rabbit when I gallop down the hall. I like the way my ears fly when I run. That's why I do it that way. I love to roll on the floor and put my feet up in the air...especially if someone is close by and will rub my tummy. My favorite thing in the whole world is to snuggle up with Ivy. We both like to sleep warm and snuggly, together under the blankies. She likes her whole body under them. I like to have my head stick out so I can breathe. Being 13 years old, I tend to sleep more than she does. But I do make sure I do my rounds each day to get pets and love from everyone. I also make sure to be at the dinner table for cleanup duty, just in case something gets dropped.
Ivy and I would love a quiet home where we can be together and get lots of love and attention...and naps. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I hope I get to meet you soon.
