Teddy will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. His foster will then adopt.
Teddy was surrendered due to a family move to a place where they cannot have dogs. He is said to be a good boy overall. He is very much a velcro dog but also very affectionate. He has a little separation anxiety but does ok with another dog in the home when left for a couple of hours. Teddy is a high energy Cocker that needs a fenced in backyard and two walks a day. He does not know how to walk on a leash and is now learning to with the help of a harness. He has discovered squirrels and being a true bird dog, has pointed at birds while in the backyard.
Teddy does fine with women and men on walks in the neighborhood or at the veterinarian. Teddy might do best with someone who stays home and gives him all the love he deserves. He needs somebody patient and understanding as well. Teddy has done well being left at home with another dog for several hours at a time so he has not been crated. He would do best in a home with another dog. He seems to know "stay" and "leave it". He loves to be able to look out of a window where he can see what is going on in the neighborhood.
