Teddy is getting adopted by his foster mom!
Teddy is a two-year-old cocker that was surrendered due to a family move to a place where they cannot have dogs. He is said to be a good boy overall. He is very much a velcro dog but also very affectionate. When he first came to his foster home he wanted to be right next to his foster all the time, but since then has become more independent. He has a little separation anxiety but does fine with another dog in the home when left for a couple of hours.
Teddy seems to know "stay" and "leave it" and has not bothered anything in the home when left, so he has not been crated. Teddy is a high energy Cocker that needs a fenced in backyard and two walks a day. He uses a dog door in his foster home. He has discovered squirrels and birds being a true bird dog, has pointed at birds while in the backyard. He does not know how to walk on a leash and is now learning to with the help of a harness but still has a way to go.
Teddy loves all people and has liked the dogs he has met on walks. Teddy might do best with someone who stays home and gives him all the love he deserves. He needs somebody patient and understanding as well. Teddy needs to be in a home with another dog as he has some separation anxiety but has done well being left at home with another dog for several hours at a time. He loves to be able to look out of a window where he can see what is going on in the neighborhood.
