Spirit will remain in the Recovery Room until medically cleared. He has a few different health issues.
Spirit is a gentle and friendly senior boy. He loves other dogs but since he is not yet neutered he will try to hump them. He has low vision and is probably hard of hearing. But he is a love and wants to be loved. Prior coming into rescue Spirit had not been to a vet in several years and was left alone for long periods of time often in a doggie playpen. He was not able to handle stairs but is doing better with just a few steps if he is slowly following his person. He will need a home with no or just a few stairs and he needs access to a fenced yard so that he can be let out frequently to potty. He has severe dental disease, Cushing's Disease, as well as with gall bladder issues. He has a heart murmur that is being monitored. Spirit is just beginning treatment and is on multiple medications and eye drops. Spirit has had a tough and lonely life in the past and I know that there is that special rescue family who can give him a wonderful home for his senior retirement years.
