Shelby is cleared for adoption.
Shelby is one of the recent Cherokee Release dogs. He has learned how to be a dog in a free world and has a clean bill of health from the vet. He was a beauty before grooming, but look at him now in his short summer hair cut!
Shelby is very curious and energetic. He’s been fine with all the people he’s met, gets along well with our two dogs (an Airedale and a pit bull) and with our cat. He hasn’t been exposed to any children. He’s crate trained and knows to do his business outside. He has only peed in the house once. He loves soft toys and is learning to play fetch! Also likes to chew on everything. We haven’t done much yet with teaching him basic commands. Overall, he’s a very sweet little guy who likes to be part of whatever is going on! I feel like he needs access to a yard and wouldn’t (at least until he’s older) do well being home alone all day.
