Shalonda is getting Adopted!
Shalonda is a 2 year old cocker spaniel , who loves to play and lounge around the house. Though she did not respond to the name Shalonda, she responds to olive which we nicknamed her because of her eyes. Upon waking up, she usually needs to potty so she goes outside for 15 minutes. Her zoomies time during the morning are very energetic , this is the time she loves to play with the other dogs in the house, check on everyone in the house , watch you get ready, and say good morning to hot air balloons outside through the living room window. For breakfast she enjoys a 1/4 cup of dry kibble mixed with chopped Pedigree , her favorite flavor is filet mignon. 20-30 minutes after breakfast she loves to go back out side with one of her favorite toys and play fetch, during some point in this time she does her business. Around noon is Treat Time , where she gets three treats and a water bowl refill, she loves the Bark Box treats, such as the jack o loop soft baked which are cinnamon pumpkin flavored , and the clucky jerky bars .She is a cuddle bug and loves to curl up next to you and watch tv, she will follow you everywhere you go during chores and even if you need to go to the bathroom, she is always by your side just like a good girl should be. For dinner around 6 she has the same as her breakfast , and goes outside 20-30 minutes after for more play time. She will decide when playtime is over , she will bring you a ball or toy and drop it next to your foot or in your hand to throw it so she can go fetch it . She’s also great at catching treats in her mouth . Once she is done playing and doing her business, she will come inside to watch tv on the couch . Once in a while she’ll get the zoomies again right before bed at 10. At the fosters house she sleeps in a crate with a stuffed animal and blanket, but I’m sure once she is adopted her family would love the nighttime snuggles with her , once she falls asleep she is good for the night , but if she needs to go outside she will paw you and bark or cry. She is working on being leash trained , but she does well enough to take on walks . She’s very smart , she’ll get the hang of it . Also beware of leaving your food in a spot she can reach , she will snatch it up, this girl is a piggy at heart. She loves to eat anything your eating and will if your not careful. She is a pleasure to have and keeps you on your toes . She is well behaved . She will bark at strangers, she is very protective . A good dog to have all around !
