Rocky is in the Recovery Room until he has a vet follow-up. Check back soon.
Hello everyone, my name is Rocky. My owner was having health issues and had to give me up, so I am looking for a new place to hang my leash and call home. My foster home is great. There are 2 RMCR alumni, a big dog, a cat in the house and chickens and ducks outside. Except for chasing the cat once, I get along with all my foster siblings. The chickens and ducks are in coops, but I haven’t shown any interest in going to say hello yet.
We go for walks every day and occasionally we go for a car ride to a hiking trail. I do pull on the leash. My foster mom says I am a good boy and react to other dogs appropriately to everything we have seen on our daily walks. I was never allowed to get on the furniture, so my foster mom put dog beds down for me. I have one in every room now so I can lay on my comfy beds at her feet. I do have a little separation anxiety, so I do need someone who will continue to work with me on that. Basically, I’m a calm and quiet older gentleman, but I will complain softly if I feel like it’s taking too long to get everybody ready to go for a walk or to get the food dishes down on the floor. My foster mom thinks it’s funny when she claps her hands and says, “dogs out” and I run to a dog bed and pretend I’m asleep. She keeps a harness on me so she can show me to the door and put me out. But she says whoever adopts me is going to get a very good, sweet and loving companion.
