Rags will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption . She still needs a dental and clarification on some skin issues, possibly allergy related.
Rags is a gentle soul with a quiet strength and the softest heart. She may be timid at first, but give her time—and a little space—and she’ll begin to blossom before your eyes. When she’s happy, she prances like a tiny dancer, showing you just how far she’s come.
Rescued from a difficult past, Rags is learning that humans can be kind and toys can be fun. She’s discovered a deep love for squeaky things and often retreats to her kennel to hoard her treasure trove of toys. While she may give a little growl if another dog comes too close to her prized possessions, she’s easily redirected with a calm voice—never aggressive, just protective of the few joys she’s finally found.
Rags enjoys pets and affection but will approach slowly. Fast movements still startle her, and she prefers the calm presence of women. With her foster brothers, she’s tolerant but steers clear of high-energy antics. Cats, however? She’s smitten. Rags gently and patiently engages with her foster home’s feline friend, proving just how kind and curious she really is.
A home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace, surrounded by patient, loving humans (and maybe a calm pup or cat friend), would be perfect for Rags. If you believe in second chances and want to be part of this beautiful girl's story, Rags is ready to prance her way into your heart.
