UPDATE: Pennie is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl who you might mistake for a bewildered ewok scurrying around the house. She came from a puppy mill in Wyoming and is still learning how to trust. She is still learning how to trust and not be scared so she'll need a patient adopter and calm home to really open up and blossom. In spite of her fear she is an absolute snuggle bug and will let you pet her for hours. Once she's comfortable with you she loves to be chased around and is starting to show interest in toys. She's done great with our medium sized dog and has met other large dogs and been very curious and playful. She'd do great in a home with another confident dog but could also be happy as an only dog. She's still scared of the leash and walks so will need to go to a home with a fenced in yard. She doesn't bark but she does snort when you pick her up. Like the queen she is. She came to RMCR at a chonky 22 pounds with a goal weight of 16 pounds. She does great alone in the house so we don't crate her except overnight. She's very shy and nervous so will need a patient adopter to help her trust people and gain confidence.
Pennie is an absolutely wonderful and docile little girl. I'm confident with the right adopter she will grow into a confident and loving dog.
History: Pennie arrived without records. She is a litte skiddish but wants to be a snuggle bug. Her foster says she is an absolute sweetheart. She has aredy learned the doggie door. Yesterday she felt comfortable enough for belly rubs and was smiling a bunch! Her foster said, " It's been wonderful to see her start to feel more comfortable and open up! "
