Penelope a 9-year old, female Springer Spaniel, and is the sweetest dog I’ve had the pleasure of fostering. She is loving and affectionate, gentle and sweet. She has beautiful brown eyes and an adorable smile that she’s almost always showing off. She is good with other dogs and puts up with rowdy Weimaraner puppies and adults like they aren’t even there, plus she gets along wonderfully with my Cocker and rescue mutt. She is used to living with other dogs so having a canine companion will be a plus for Penelope. She is good with all adults and loves my nephews. She loves to sit out on the lawn and roll around, and makes an adorable little howl when I’m getting her food ready that reminds me of Chewbacca. She is gentle on the leash, well house trained, has a soft mouth, and is mostly deaf.
Penelope is a bit of a Velcro dog and prefers to be in the same room as her human. If you wear shorts and she gets close, she will give you lots of leg kisses Penelope prefers sleeping on the bed with her person but sometimes needs a hand getting up due to the arthritis. She takes 50mg carprofen 2x a day. She is slow going up stairs so a house with little to no stairs would be ideal. She has a lipoma on her right rear leg that the vets said is just fatty and doesn’t seem to cause her pain or problems so it’s not worth removing. She came in slightly overweight at 56# but is now down to around 52-53.
This girl is going to make a wonderful companion for someone!
