Momo is a super sweet, funny, and playful dog! He is so adorable and such a sweetheart! He is very eager to please and so loving, he can't get enough snuggles and pets, including at bedtime when he loves to cuddle up in his person's bed. He is very loyal and loves to be with us and our dog. Momo had toddler siblings (around 1 and 3 years old) at his original home and got along well with them. Momo is in the process of being trained. He is very food motivated and has been a quick learner, picking up "sit" and "down" already. He loves to go for walks but gets scared and barks when he sees other dogs at the park. Momo displays some resource guarding around toys. He cries and paws at door/gate when someone leaves, even with others at home, displaying some separation anxiety. We have tried to be sure someone is always home with him, but of course that is not always possible. Momo can be redirected and soothed when we do clicker training/treating. A Thunder Shirt has been helping. Consistent training will be your friend in building up his confidence. He is so eager to learn. Crate training would be a good idea for Momo, but start it slow and with rewards.
Momo will do best in a home with a family who is active, home during the day, and has a fenced yard where he can explore the outside world. Momo will continue to build his confidence and make a perfect companion. Another dog in the home for companionship would be a plus for Momo.
