Lightnin was used as a breeding dog, no longer wanted. He is enjoying learning how to live within a family and is ready for his forever home.
Ligntnin has come a long way from when he first arrived a scared and timid pup. He wants to be loved and enjoys petting once he learns to trust you. He wants to be with his humans and will take a couch and a movie anytime! Minimal barking. His fur is super soft. He does well with being brushed. He is learning to go outside on a regular basis. He still marks but potty training will come with patience, frequent trips outdoors help. He seems to thrive on routine and a set schedule. He sleeps in a crate and is very quiet for a solid 8 hours. I play ocean sounds for him for a restful night!
What a great walker he is! (better than my dogs!!) Doesn't pull and loves being out seeing the world. He will be a very loyal dog. He is very good with my dogs. He is possessive of toys, however, he is trying to claim everything as his own. Lightning will do well in a home where someone is home much throughout the day to continue to support him with love and human presence, and to help him continue to learn potty routines.
