Henry will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption.
Henry is a gentle, sweet, affectionate boy who just loves a cuddle and pat. He loves to play ball and play bubbles with my little kids. He is very gentle natured and wonderful with both my 2 and 5 year old's who adore him. He enjoys the attention they give him and is happy to be beside them. Henry is a smiley friendly dog to greet people and he often gets compliments of how sweet he is. He’s enjoying street walks and sniffs more and more.
Henry is happy left alone inside or outside for short periods of time (with a treat distraction). He has had a few accidents inside since having him but he is crate trained and very content sleeping overnight in his crate. This seems to have resolved this issue. He has very basic training and is not comfortable in new environments (parks/playgrounds/unfamiliar other dogs and humans) or around other dogs- he shakes and howls and needs lots of reassurance before becoming comfortable. He is not overly food driven. He is becoming more confident walking by other dogs on leash and staying calm at the park. We have been taking it slow over the past few weeks and he has improved significantly in his anxiety around new places. Once he’s reassured that he’s okay he calms quickly and is happy sniffing about. He enjoys walks more and more often now. Henry travels well in the car and of course wants to come along to every adventure.
Henry's favorite place for a rub is on his chest. He closes his eyes and feels so comfortable leaning in for more. He has gorgeous long eyelashes. He’s very eager to be by your side at all times. He is a very easy going low maintenance little guy despite his ear/skin problems. Henry would appreciate a fenced backyard for his safety,
