Kora is getting adopted by her foster!
Kora was used for breeding purposes. She is now trying to learn what it is like to live in a home with a family. Kora is slowly adjusting and doing well in foster care. She has been spayed and is awaiting a dental.
UPDATE: Kora is an extremely lovable dog who has adapted to her new foster home like a champ. She is the dominant dog in the household which her foster family feels is by nature due to the many litters of puppies she had to take care of when at the puppy mill. Kora is a couch potato by nature and sleeps a lot but has gotten to liking her morning and afternoon walks. She is still in the process of leash training but overall doing well with that. She needs to be gated to certain areas of the house, so she doesn’t escape when the front door is opened. She has a good potty schedule and has learned to show signs when she needs to go outside and is no longer having accidents in the house. Crate training has been a bit of a slow path with Kora but she is doing better each time her foster parents need to leave her in the crate. Kora loves to sleep in her dog bed right next to her owner’s bed and is now sleeping through the night without having to go potty, though needs to go out right before bedtime. She tends to get scared and shakes when new people are introduced at first but then calms down and shows her lovable nature. She doesn’t love car rides and does better with a human to cuddle with in the backseat, but is getting better with them. Overall, Kora has adapted well to her new life and would be a lovable addition to any family.
