Echo is very loving and deeply committed to his person. He has shown steady, consistent adjustment in his foster home and has become a new, happier version of himself since coming into foster care. After his recent dental procedure, he seems even more comfortable—he may have been in considerable pain before having several extractions.
Echo gets along with other dogs after he has time to get to know them. On walks, he may occasionally show displeasure toward oncoming dogs, but he has been introduced to many neighborhood dogs and often seems interested in getting to know them better. He enjoys retrieving and dropping a ball, shares toys with other dogs, and has not shown guarding issues around toys.
Echo will do best with a foster who can provide calm structure, thoughtful management, and a safe routine while continuing positive reinforcement. He has bitten in the past when his food or toys are taken away from him. This behavior can be managed with training, and the rescue can provide information, resources and support with this.
