Meet Duke đź’™
ID #: C 25065 | Age: 12 yearsÂ
Duke is a gentle, senior gentleman with a heart full of love and a soul that’s pure gold. At 12 years old, Duke has mastered the art of quiet companionship—he’s happiest lounging by your side, enjoying gentle pets, or curling up for a cozy nap.
This mellow boy settled beautifully into his foster home. He’s done wonderfully with house training—after a few expected adjustment accidents early on, Duke quickly learned the routine and now heads out every 3 hours or so like clockwork. While he’s not crate-trained, he’s earned the freedom to roam the house and even sleeps peacefully in bed with his foster.
Duke gets along well with adults and other dogs. His compatibility with children and cats is unknown, but his sweet, laid-back nature suggests he could adapt well with thoughtful introductions.
As with many senior pups, Duke has a few age-related quirks. He is hard of hearing, per vet exam: Duke is deaf due to chronic inflammation of the ear canals. Keep on allergy food for now. He has minor cataracts, and a few typical “old man” warts—including one near his eye that should be monitored. He also has a few teeth that may need attention in the future. None of this slows him down—he’s in good spirits, eating well, and loving the comforts of home life.
There are no emotional or behavioral concerns with Duke—just a mellow, affectionate boy ready to give someone his whole heart. If you're looking for a loyal companion who’ll be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Duke might just be the one. 💙
