Meet Daisy - this little beauty will be 2 in December. She is a little girl and weighs around 18-19 lbs. She is such a cute, petite little lady. Daisy will do best as the only pet in the home. She likes to be in charge and wants to be the alpha and is bossy with other dogs (no dog parks at all). She has been around cats and seems to do ok with them but will chase after them if they run out of the room.
Daisy does take some time before she will trust you. She will do a scared piddle if she thinks she is in trouble or if you are trying to get her to do something she doesn’t want to do. She also does an excited piddle when you talk to her when you get home. We have found ignoring her when we come home or when we have people over helps with this. You will need to be patient with her and allow her time to settle in.
Daisy is a sweet girl and does love to sleep in bed with her humans and will cuddle with them on the couch if she feels like it! Just be aware of her showing any signs that she may have had enough. She has 2 places in her current foster home that she goes to get away and we know that means we just leave her be until she comes down (off the top of the cushions on our couch) or out (from the side of our couch). Daisy LOVES balls and would love to have several of her own and she has done pretty good bringing them to us to throw for her again. She is potty trained other than the scared/excited piddle. Please note she may need to be muzzled when being groomed or going to the vet.
