Cooper is the sweetest little dog. He gets along very well with all the foster’s dogs. His best friend is an Airedale Terrier, so he has learned to play roughly. He is very vocal when he is playing with the foster’s dogs, but it is only play. Cooper is very obedient and listens well. You can tell him something twice and he gets it. He does get excited when he wants to take something that is not his, but if you say, "leave it,” he listens and will let go. He uses a doggy door and is house trained. He walks well on a leash. He does not mind the cats and ignores them. He does not mind sleeping in his crate at night but objects and gets stressed if you put him in it during the day. Cooper loves being with his human and once he gets comfortable, he loves sitting next to you and will come up and give you lots of gentle kisses. He likes to cuddle on the couch and snuggle on your lap. Cooper is well socialized; he will bark at visitors but makes friends with them very quickly. He eats slowly. He is an extremely easy dog and a very happy boy. He might do well as an agility dog, he has so much energy and is very smart, very obedient and comes when you call him.
The appropriate home for Cooper will have a fenced yard to run round in. Cooper loves running around the foster’s garden. It is highly recommended that Cooper has a canine playmate.
