Cheerio, previously named Amy, is a playful fun little dog that is fast on her feet, has serious speed and is super smart, a quick learner. She loves to play and chase bugs, especially moths. She would make a fantastic agility dog if someone had the time to teach her the ropes. Cheerio knows 'sit' and 'down' and was making some progress on the 'stay' command. She sleeps in a crate at night but would love to sleep with you. Cheerio loves to walk but try to avoid bikers on a path as she likes to bark at them. Cheerio loves playing fetch and tug of war. She really enjoys playing keep away too, especially with children . She might even love playing frisbee since she is an excellent jumper.
Cheerio is currently in a foster home with several other dogs and does well with the pack. She likes to be sure that they are not going to take her food, however. Keep in mind that Cheerio MUST HAVE A YARD WITH AT LEAST A 6 FT WOOD FENCE. In her last home she had jumped the 3-4 ft wood rail fence and escaped several times. Maybe a condo type home without a yard might be ok if she will be walked a lot but keep in mind that Cheerio loves to be outdoors so much .
