Meet Chase! An adorable red and white parti-color Cocker Spaniel. Chase is a very smart puppy who knows commands sit, down, wait, jump, paw, come (on a leash or indoors only), and he rings a doorbell to let you know when he has to go potty! He also knows what "kennel" means. We're currently reinforcing "leave it" and "off” and learning how to "roll". He learns quickly and enjoys puzzle games. He likes to chew and play fetch. Chase is food motivated, would do anything for a treat. He gets along with small dogs with similar size and energy than him, but he is fearful of big dogs and doesn't like children. Chase is living with a cat and it's going very well. He's playful towards the cat and is learning to control his prey instincts but has never shown any sign of aggression towards it. Chase completely ignores the cat if his good behavior is rewarded with tasty treats. Chase guards things like the sofa, so he's not allowed on furniture right now. He also guards new toys, so he needs time to play alone before he's ready to play with people. He also guards his food, but he'll allow you to get close if you have something tastier to exchange. Because of his guarding behavior, Chase currently sleeps in the kennel, and he does very well with that. The kennel is his safe space to enjoy a Kong or other puzzle games involving food and he is very comfortable in it. We use a 42 L x 29 W x 31 H crate, allowing plenty of room to sleep and play. He's proven to be highly trainable at a young age and I believe that his resource guarding behavior can be controlled in the right environment. Chase is adorable, fluffy and soft, and loves belly rubs! He needs someone patient willing to teach him new things because he loves to learn. Chase is only 7 months old and needs someone to teach him all the fun things that come with being a good boy
