Charlie has been in foster care for almost a year now. He is much loved by his two foster moms Barb and aunty Jean. Between the two ladies he gets lots of love and attention. He has come a long way in how he views life. He still prefers a quiet calm home atmosphere but is starting to play with his dog friends. He has one particular gal friend and they play all the time. His favorite safe place is under the bed and his foster family is fine with that. We all need alone time and he will let you know when he does. Aunty Jean usually just asks, "Do you need to go to your room?". He disappears into his safe place and relaxes......coming out when he is ready to have hugs pats and told what a great boy he is. Charlie is learning to socialize in the world outside his set boundaries but still needs caution if there is too much busy-ness going on. He loves walks and car rides with his favorite ladies. Charlie would do best in a female home. Sad fact is that Charlie, who is a beautiful boy, was abused to the point where he lost his faith in people. Whoever adopts Charlie will need to continue working with him and respect his boundaries.. He is much loved by his foster family who just want the best for this great boy. He is so smart and amazes them all the time by the things he knows.
If you're interested in adopting Charlie, please contact the Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue to fill out an application. He deserves the best!!
