Hi! My Name Is Benji NM 22101

We're happy to tell you that Benji NM 22101 has a new furever home.

Applications closed. Benji is getting adopted.

Benji came to RMCR from a New Mexico Shelter.  He is said to be 2-4 yrs old.  Benji was found abandoned in a garage with several other animals living in small crates.  He is very happy and loves to go on walks.

Hap – Hap- Hap-py Dog, Yep! That’s Me! They call me Benji and I’m around 3-4 years young. I
may be the happiest dog you ever meet. You’ll notice right away how I prance around with my
tail wagging high in the sky just smiling to the world as I go by. People ask what is my breed,
well, that’s a good question. I’d say I’m a ‘melt your heart’ brown eyed, pintsized (~13lbs),
bundle of love and fun and that’s all that matters…but probably also some terrier mix and/or
some border collie as I love to nip at ankles of the dogs I play with. I can tell you what I like… I
love to snuggle and I mean lean my head against your chest and press into you type of snuggle
while trying to steal a kiss or two. I love to go on walks and I prance really nicely right along side
of you on the leash. I love to play with other dogs – I do tend to bite at the legs of my 55 lb big
foster brother, but if he gets mad after we wrestle for a bit I back off. I’m learning to play with
toys and found out I really like tug of war. I love meal time and treats. I love to ride in the car. I
am crate trained. I eat, sleep and go in my crate when I am left alone. I am happiest being with
you, curled up on a bed at your feet while you work or read. What I don’t like…well, actually I
haven’t found anything to add to this list yet. I’m still learning the ways of a fun, safe, loving
environment so I’m just happy and grateful for each day. I am new to the housebreaking. I am
doing well at my foster home but I’ll need help adjusting to a new home and going outside to
potty. I was recently neutered so the marking has decreased tremendously. I sometimes bark
when new people come to the house until I get to know them. I hope my new family will have
patience with me and continue to work with socializing me as I do love to meet new people and
dogs. I’d love to learn some obedience and tricks – I’m smart…oh and wait till you see how high
I can jump!!
