Ben will remain in the Recovery Room until he is cleard for adoption. He is waitig for a dental for a fractured tooth.
Ben is a confident, athletic guy who’s ready for an active home. He’s energetic and smart, and loves walks and hikes—he could be a great running companion with continued training. He’s fully potty trained and sleeps quietly in a kennel through the night, though he’d happily snuggle or sleep at the end of the bed if given the option. He knows sit and is currently working on stay, leash manners, and keeping all four paws on the ground when excited. Ben gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, but he’d also do well as the only dog in a home as long as he isn’t left alone for long periods. He’s not destructive in the house and settles well. Ben is doggie door trained.
Ben is such a sweetheart but he has significant anxiety at the vet and the groomers. He needs to be premedicated so he is more calm. Ben would be best suited for a home with kids ages 5+ or children who are comfortable around dogs.
