Bella will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption.
Bella was found as a stray in Utah. She had pretty neglected but is not cleaned up and settling into her foster home. Bella, Is a very soft, gentle, and sweet pup. She is very quiet and a bit slow. She seems to be blind or have low vision, and perhaps hard of hearing or deaf. But she isn't afraid, she takes her time and finds her way using her nose. She does bump into things as she finds her way. Usually, she corrects and tries a different route. However, a few times she has just sat down right where she is. She doesn't mind other dogs or people. With large dogs she was nervous for a minute shaking, once she realized they just wanted to be by her she calmed. Currently due to no grooming her skin itches her skin is flaky. This will be remedied over time with good care. Bella found the doggy door once. She hasn't had any accidents inside. She isn't against love but isn't used to it. So, sometimes she jumps a little at first touch. With some guidance she is fine going into a crate. She is content to sleep most of the time. I love that she still wants to explore.
Currently Bella's ears hurt from infections. We are seeing the vet this afternoon. She eats slowly but just fine. I have been bringing her water as she hasn't found the water bowl yet. And she drinks a lot each time.
