Barney will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. His foster plans on adopting him.
This sweet boy is originally a stray from El Paso, TX, estimated to be around 3 years old. He was pretty scared in the shelter but blossomed in his foster home. Barney is a wonderful boy who wants to snuggle with you all the time and get all the love. He takes treats very gently. He walks well on a leash; need a little more training to be great. He does not pull or run but he will circle around you, so you might get tangled in the leash. Barney is a dream to have in the car. He sits in his seat the whole time and doesn't move, but a seat belt should be used. Such a little gentleman! Barney loves to be picked up and carried and will often act like he has forgotten how to walk in order to achieve this. He does not know a stranger (2 or 4 legged). Barney has allowed us to brush him, play with his paws and paw pads, his jowls and open his mouth, clean his eyes and ears his ears and tails with no negative reactions. He will give you lots of kisses and you will never go anywhere alone.
