Many employers have Matching Gift programs which would double your donation
A donor may wish to make a gift in memoriam of a family member, valued friend, or pet.
This method conserves the donor’s cash while helping to avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated securities. The market value of the securities is deductible in the current year’s tax return. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer required, transferring the policy to the Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue may provide benefits to both Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue and the donor. The Trust would ultimately collect the policy value and the donor may be entitled to an income tax deduction in the amount of the policy’s value. The donor should consult with their tax advisor.
The donor may list Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue as a beneficiary in their will. The distribution of the estate is then made at the donor’s death.
