Corum Ruby is a very sweet 3.8 year old who is bonded with her sister, Candy Lee. Corum and her sister Candy Lee have always lived together, they are very bonded and must be adopted together. When they came to their foster home, they were scared. Candy stayed under a chair to the kitchen table with Corum right next to her for about four days. I had to put their food on the floor next to them. On about the fifth day they ventured into the living room then ran back to their spot under the kitchen table. This continued for several days until they came into the entire house. Once they felt safe, they made themselves at home taking over the couch and both dog beds!
Corum is used to daytime doggie door access. Corum is well behaved and does not bother things in her foster Mom's home when she is gone. However, Corum and her sister are somewhat of a flight risk and care must be taken when departing through the front door so that they do not get out. Though the two are bonded, they will steal treats and food from each other's bowl so they must be supervised closely while eating and when giving treats. Corum is a little overweight but she is growing to like healthy treats and she gets a lot of exercize chasing the squirrels.
Corum will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. She is pending spay surgery. Candy and her sister Corum are fun girls and very lovable.
