I’ll remain in the Recovery Room until I’m medically cleared for adoption.
Sugar is one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. At 12 years old, she was rescued from a puppy mill and is just now beginning to taste what freedom feels like. While still shy, Sugar is slowly opening up—one small, brave step at a time.
She spends most of her time in her crate, her safe space, but will quietly sneak out when she thinks no one’s looking. Her foster family believes it’s only a matter of time before she fully blooms. She’s nearly potty trained and knows how to use the doggy door—she just needs some help making the connection between the door and outdoor bathroom breaks.
Sugar is gentle with everyone and curious about the world. She was very interested in her foster’s houseguests’ cats—enthusiastically sniffing, but never aggressive. She gets along well with other dogs and is simply taking her time to settle into this new, loving life.
If you’re looking for a quiet companion who will reward your patience with deep, trusting love, Sugar may just be the one.
