Charlie is beyond lovable — and absolutely a lapdog at heart! At just 21 pounds, he fits perfectly in your arms or curled up beside you. He craves attention, loves his Kong toy and any ball he can chase, enjoys car rides, and delights in splashing around in the water.
He sleeps soundly through the night, knows “sit” and “no,” and is doing well with house training (with just a few accidents here and there). Charlie also enjoys his crate — especially when it’s covered for that cozy, den-like feel.
Charlie is looking for an experienced adopter who can help him grow and shine. He’s still working on his leash skills and getting used to grooming and brushing. When scared or overly excited, Charlie may snap. While he has never snapped at anyone in his current home, this behavior means he needs someone who understands canine body language and can guide him with confidence and kindness.
He loves to play with other dogs but can be toy and food possessive, and sometimes overwhelms his dog friends with his high energy. His current foster family is heartbroken to let him go but recognizes he needs a home where his playful nature won’t cause stress for more timid pups.
