Chewbacca, aka "Chewy" is a truly delightful dog!
He’s affectionate, goofy in the best way, and is so willing to work. He’s built strong, positive relationships and has been getting along well with other dogs. He is a sweet and social pup who has had special one-on-one training. He has had some nipping issues in the past but has had training to work through this. Chewy needs a person or people who will continue to work with him to maintain what he has learned and has thrived on over recent weeks. His adopter, or foster, will have continued guidance offered when needed. Because of his energy he should have a fenced back yard so he can have freedom to run and play. He would do well with a jogger; he seems to jog along naturally. He has even been on hikes and has enjoyed being a companion on a paddle board. He also loves snow, playing in it, eating it! Chewy is wicked smart, picking up new tricks and challenges easily. He is generally very acceptable to training and shows great promise.
Chewy is ready to go into a foster home or a forever home, without children. In the right home with people who are experienced with "reading dog language" he is going to blossom and bloom. Chewy has learned many new things over the last several weeks and he is ready to find his forever home.
