If you’ve got an active household and are looking for a hiking pal or just someone who will be ready and waiting for you at the door with a toy then Leo is your guy! While he was a little shy when I first met him, once he was home in a quieter setting, he quickly warmed up and began demanding belly rubs and jumping into foster mom’s lap! He has blossomed into a wonderful, sweet, and intelligent mister man! He does have a history of domestic violence and seems mistrustful of people he doesn’t know so he will need some adjustment time, but I believe with some hard work he can blossom into a social little dog! Leo be reactive and fearful with strangers. Typically, does not like men but did well with calmer transfer volunteer. He was reactive and needed to be muzzled for vet examination.
Leo will need someone who’s had some experience with training dogs because he is absolutely the kind of silly billy who if given an inch will take the mile! He’s gotten along super well with his two foster sisters who are both smaller than him, and in the past he did well with a German Shepherd. He was a little too enthusiasts to say hello to the cat but never tried to chase him, just didn’t know quite how to speak cat yet! But recently he has been left unsupervised with the cat and he did amazing! He needs a home with an understanding heart, but you will not regret opening your arms to this goofy, playful little guy!
