Sadie is a very sweet and scared 2-year old girl of mixed breed (Dachshund & Terrier?) who tips the scales at 15 lbs. She is very afraid of meeting new people and needs someone who can deal with fear anxiety. She’s a dog who loves physical attention, and to snuggle with her peeps. She gets along fine with other dogs, eats well (dry food), and is mostly (but not quite) housebroken. She barks when she sees or hears people outside, but her barking isn’t excessive. She loves to be outside, whether is hanging out in the backyard, or walking on a leash around the block. She’s a very fast runner, enjoys chasing squirrels in the back yard, and will even fetch a ball!
Sadie is very fearful strangers, and she can act aggressively when she is frightened. Her behaviors include barking, growling, and biting. She needs to be restrained when introduced to new people until she learns to trust them. Sadie would do best with someone who can work with her on this, and manage her behaviors until she learns to be less fearful.
Sadie will also do best where she has access to a secure yard where she can run and play.
Sadie is a wonderful little dog who would bring joy to anyone’s home. She will make you smile with her antics, and will melt your heart with her big brown eyes. She’s a young, healthy girl who wants nothing more than to have a forever home of her own!
