Kathryn founded Rocky Mtn Cocker Rescue in Feb 2009, having created RMCR's "mission to rescue, rehome and rehabilitate cockers through the work of an all-volunteer organization". After retiring from RMCR in 2016, she continues to work for a private health insurance co. Kathryn currently owns <number> <breeds>, name1, name2 and lives in Centennial, CO.
Audra has owned 11 cockers since 1991 and joined RMCR in 2013. Her masters' degree in Project Management/Software Engineering improved the rescues' processes and streamlined many tasks by implementing newer technology. Audra volunteers her skills and knowledge to the rescue, owns 2 cockers (Munchie and Midas)) and after living 32 years in Colorado Springs, she recently moved to her hometown of Pueblo, CO to be closer to family.
Andrea has been with RMCR since it's inception in 2009, all while living in Colorado, Florida, one-year traveling in an RV and currently in Arizona. Andrea has exceptional people skills and enjoys working with all volunteers. She is retired, owns 3 dogs, Brandy, Bailey, and Buck and lives in Sierra Vista, AZ.

Suzette joined RMCR late in 2009. She is a retired nurse and works closely with all of our veterinarians, knowing the terminology and care needed to provide the best for all rescues. She is the owner of Creatures in Balance LLC of She offers Acupressure, where she offers Aromatherapy & Healing Touch for Animals®, as well as Home Hospice assistance to many cockers. Suzette and her beautiful cockers live in Lafayette, CO.
Carolyn joined RMCR in 2012 after retiring from Avaya. She owned Golden Retrievers for many years, but made an easy transition to the smaller sized sporting breed. Carolyn's first cocker was Emmylou, followed by Ginger then Sandy. Carolyn was also recognized as volunteer of the year at a local food bank. Both Carolyn and her cocker live in Thornton, CO.
Lisa joined RMCR in 2019 after retiring from the public sector. She brings great knowledge of non-profit finances and bookkeeping. She is currently working part time as a Clinician for Lindamood Bell Learning Processes. She enjoys reading, cross stitching, and cuddling with her two dogs, Izzy and Katy. Lisa lives in Parker, CO.
Linda joined RMCR in 2011 after retiring from Avaya. She has owned cockers for 27 years and has filled several positions within RMCR. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and crafting. Linda’s dogs are Bailey, Bella Luna, Athena and live in Fort Lupton, CO.
Donna fell in love with (and adopted) Abbey, a black cocker at an adoption event in 2015. After learning more about RMCR, she became a great resource for the Woodland Park-Cripple Creek area. Donna has been a teacher, a School Administrator and is now a self-employed real estate agent. Donna successfully lead a development team to build/design a local dog park. She has owned many "upcycled pets": cockers Lily, Abbey and Joe Cocker; a Terrier mix named Henry; and a cat or two. She has been a resident of Cripple Creek for more than 30 years and is very active in the local Community
Barb's warm heart wants to rescue every dog, regardless of breed. She joined RMCR in 2015 and manages all intakes and adoptions for the entire state of NM with very few volunteers. She has fostered more than 100 cocker/cocker-mixes and driven more than 5000 miles since 2015. All the unwanted pups that need help prevents her from being officially 'retired'. She currently owns 4 dogs, Mercedes, Zoe, Nevis Gracie and Pepe and lives in Albuquerque, NM.
Mi'Chielle operated her own nonprofit dog rescue for more than 15 years before accepting RMCR's offer to merge in 2019. Mi'Chielle now works in the public sector but continues to rescue her favorite breed. She also coordinates a $100,000 dog food distribution for rural rescue shelters in Kansas and nearby states. Mi'Chielle works as a Fundraising Development Specialist, owns 3 Cocker Spaniels, CocoaBirdie, Ollie & Cappuccino Bean and lives in Saffordville, KS.
