Ted is a charming, sweet-natured geriatric boy who would be perfect for someone who wants a slower-paced companion. He loves his people and wags his full tail whenever he sees them. Ted freely gives kisses and is house-trained and quite healthy for his age except for an old knee injury that has given him severe arthritis, but that pain is controlled through daily medication.

He does not need a crate; he sleeps on his bed all night. Ted's vet is impressed by how healthy he is at his age, so this sweetheart could easily live several more years. He is hard-of-hearing but can hear clapping and loud noises. His eyesight is very good, although he does have small cataracts in each eye.

Ted was surrendered by his owner when the toddler in the house became too irritating for this senior. He would be great for a senior human who just wants an easy-going companion for short walks. He only barks when he needs to go out or come into the house.

If not already, Ted will be micro-chipped, neutered (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on his shots prior to adoption. If you would like to meet Ted to see if he is a good fit for your home, please fill out an Adoption Application online.
