Simon is a larger cocker mix who weighs about 31 pounds. He is said to be a Cocker / Springer Spaniel mix and has long legs. Simon was surrendered when his prior owner was moving. He was protective of his space when first rescued but has settled in quite nicely. Because of his initial protectiveness it is recommended that he is not adopted into a home with young children. Simon wants to please and will sit when told but needs work on other basic obedience manners such as wait and stay. Simon has become a loving companion in his foster home and is tolerant of the other dogs he lives with. He will need an adopter who will be alpha, will be able to read his behaviors, and will give him the instructions that he needs. Simon wants to be obedient and looks for approval. His favorite thing is to lie at his foster's feet until allowed to jump up into her lap and cuddle for as long as allowed.
If not already, Simon will be micro-chipped, neutered (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on his shots prior to adoption. If you would like to meet Simon to see if he is a good fit for your home, please fill out an Adoption Application online.
