My name is “Cookie”. I’ve had a long road traveled to get to the Rockin’ Paw people… I was taken in by policemen because of a cruelty/neglect charge. I was so very scared. I’ve been to the veterinarian and she told my foster mom that I have heartworm disease. My foster mom cried, and said “whatever it takes we will get him well”. I am so thankful that they love me and are working hard to get me healthy enough to find a loving home of my very own… I have been neutered and all of my vaccinations and deworming is current, and I start my heartworm treatment next week. I am only 4 years old. I’ve already learned my housetraining rules, and I absolutely love to snuggle and be petted. I really like my foster dog friends – we like to roll around in the grass and chase each other in the yard. I promise to be your best friend ever – think about me. I know I am a black dog, with special health concerns – but I will be eternally grateful and your very best friend if you choose me. Call my foster mom today!

All applicants must provide a veterinary reference on the adoption application. Home visits occur prior to each adoption.
