Chula – Adopted

on Saturday,May 9, 2009

Chula is spayed female Cocker Spaniel, approximately 10 years old, that was surrendered by her owners because they could no longer afford to care for her. Her coat was out of control, so she’s sporting a cute short cut for the summer!  Chula is good with other cats and dogs, although she has a dominant personality and needs a little amount of time to define her position in the pack. She has been in two foster homes (due to resource issues only) and in both cases has blended in very well with the others in the household. Due to her age, we would recommend that she be placed in a home with older children who won’t be as inclined to pull on ears!

Chula is healthy and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is house-trained and is learning how to use a doggie door. She will use a crate, but doesn’t particularly like it. If it’s covered, she will calm down and realize that it’s nap time. She loves to go for walks and is very good on a leash. She will pull a little if she wants to investigate something, but she doesn’t choke herself trying to lead. She is a very sweet little girl that loves attention and wants to be near her people.  All she needs is a forever home with someone willing to give her the love she deserves.
