Zandy
Zandy is a 4-1/2 year old male Cocker Spaniel. He came into rescue when his elderly owner had to move into an assisted living faciltiy.
Zandy is a lttle confused and misses his owner very much. He spent a week or so in a doggy hotel and then spent a night in a volunteer’s home before he went to a foster home. He’s still trying to decide just what’s going on! He’s a quiet giant, weighing in at 45 pounds. Zandy needs a family that will help him loose a bit of weight before it starts to take its toll on his back and legs. He enjoys going for walks and is very good on the lead. He’s not quite familiar with the doggy door concept, but his foster home has one, so he should learn quickly. He is house trained. He’s also up to date on his vaccinations, is neutered and micro-chipped. He seems to be good around children and cats and other dogs, however he’s not spent much time around toddlers, so we recommend a home with older children.
