Chance is a wonderful one year old male Cocker Spaniel that came to us from Garden City KS. He had two cherry eyes that have been fixed, was neutered and had his teeth cleaned. He knows some basic commands such as sit, stay and come and seems to do very well on a lead. He should be fine in a home with children, but we’re not sure about cats. Chance has had all of his vaccinations and will be microchipped before being adopted.
This little guy will make a wonderful addition to any home, however he’s still a puppy at heart, so expect a higher level of activity.

Precious is an eleven year old white and tan spayed Cocker Spaniel that is being surrendered by her owner due to financial situations.
She is house trained, but has always had doggie door access to the yard. Her mom is having to move to an apartment and is afraid that the adjustment may be too hard on her since she will then have to be walked in order to eliminate. She is very healthy and up to date on her vaccinations, however she’s not overly active. She would be a perfect companion for a retired individual or couple.
She lives up to her name – she really is precious. If you are interested in meeting her, please complete an online adoption application.

Agnes is a quiet six-to-eight year old female Cocker from a Kansas shelter. She gets along well with other dogs and likes being petted, but is not demanding about it. She knows come, sit, off, and cookie. Agnes has been neutered and micro-chipped, is current on her vaccinations, and is negative for heartworm. She is a very sweet little girl who has had freee run of her foster home without incident. She is fully house-broken and chews only her own toys.
Agnes may be a special needs adoption. She has had some dental issues which we think have been corrected with a few extractions. The vet recommends that she be fed a raw diet to help lessen placque build-up. This is not as demanding as it sounds because the food can be purchased as frozen patties and easily thawed and fed to her. She’s a sweet girl that loves to give little kisses
If you are interested in meeting this adorable little girl and giving her a chance at a comfortable life, please complete an online adoption application.

Chaps is a very affectionate and playful 5-year-old neutered male. He loves playing with the other dogs, though he really does not understand about chasing balls! His facial expressions are adorable–his foster mama is always laughing at his cute little face. Chaps has all his shots and is completely housebroken. He has free run of his foster home day and night without incident. He can be crated, but it hasn’t been necessary. Chaps is not very good with cats–he chases them and barks at them, so he’d probably do better in a home without them. He has only been exposed to children at adoption events, but has done quite well with them there. This little boy is so cute and affectionate–he will probably find his forever home very soon.

Betsy is 5 years old, has been spayed and micro-chipped and is up to date on all of her vaccinations.
In her foster mom’s words:
Betsy is the best dog I have ever fostered. She is 110% house trained and goes to the door to ask out. Not one accident! She has also been obedience trained. One simple command, even the word no, and she gives you an immediate response. She is great on a leash and loves to go for car rides. She also shakes hands with one paw and then the other. She sleeps in the bed with me and loves her own pillow if she can steal one of mine! She tolerates cats only if they stay their distance. If they come anywhere near her she will bark and chase them off. She also loves people no matter their size or age. The first thing the neighbors baby gets from her is a big slurpy kiss!!! She is a WONDERFUL dog.

Tom and Shirl with Casey
When Casey came to us as a stray from Utah, he was terribly matted and filthy, but just as friendly as could be. That sweet personality and good house manners won the hearts of both his foster mom and dad from the start. When Tom and Shirl applied to adopt him, it was clear they would be the perfect parents who could offer him a great life, but that didn’t make it any easier for his foster parents to let him go! Casey loved Tom and Shirl immediately and settled into their mountain home as if he had lived there his entire life. The best part is that the foster parents have visiting rights! Casey, we hope to see lots of you in the years to come!

Heidi is a sweet, house-trained, two-year old. She understands basic commands: sit, stay and down. Heidi is kennel trained and very calm in her kennel. She’s a sweet little girl and loves to play with her three foster brothers. She only showed signs of growling at them after going into heat. Then she laid on the bed with her foster mom and slept or cuddled. She should do well with adults and children. Her foster mom introduced her to treats – she didn’t know they were was until her foster mom broke it up for her and she liked it!
Heidi has since been spayed. She has experienced frequent ear infections in her short life which has left her with a permanent head tilt. Care will need to be given to her ears for the rest of her life to prevent further damage. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been recently groomed.

Remington is a wonderful white and tan male Cocker Spaniel. He’s approximately six years old and was surrendered by his owner. His owner found him as a stray and owned him for the last three and a half years.
Remington needs a home with adults who understand Cocker Spaniels. He is jealous of his toys and his bed and tries to protect them. Young children may not understand to leave his toys alone and he may try to snap at them, although he has never bitten anyone. He is very loving and does well on the leash and riding in the car. He is a very devoted dog that simply needs someone to give him more attention than his previous owner was able to provide. He is very intelligent and willing to learn if someone is willing to provide the consistency and praise necessary for him to remember his training.
Remington knows how to use the doggie door, is up-to-date on his vaccinations, is neutered and has a brand new haircut. He knows several commands such as down, come, sit, stay and wait. He likes stuffed toys, in particular monkeys and birds, and he likes balls. He likes to hold them and keep them close by. He likes to play fetch, loves walks and loves to cuddle. He is sensitive when people touch his rear, so care should be taken to slowly desensitize him to this trait. We also recommend a home with no cats.

Buster is a beautiful, buff and white, neutered American Cocker Spaniel who is being surrendered by his owner. We believe he is around 1-1/2 years old. He gets along well with children and other dogs but is a little shy around some men. Otherwise, he is friendly and playful. He is up to date on his vaccinations. Cats are fun to chase and children even more fun. He seems to like children more than adults. He is slow to warm up to you but once he trusts you, he’s fine. He is a very loving boy.

Eli is just about two years old and was surrendered by his family because of allergies. Here’s what his foster mom has to say about him:
Eli is like a 1940′s Bogart lover. He swoons against your leg when you sit down and walks between your ankles to state his territory. He sits, comes when called and uses the pet door to do his necessaries in the back yard. He has put weight on during his first two years our of sheer loneliness. But, surrounded by friends, he doesn’t seem to need food as much and eats very little. He’s just too busy being happy. He would like to sleep with you but accepts the crate if you ask. When I say he is sweet, it is an understatement, He is so eager to please, it’[s almostembarrassing! He LOVES having his own person and he will never bore you if you are a stay-at-home owner. You will have a loving companion that will make you feel like royalty.
Eli is up to date on his vaccinations and is micro-chipped. This litte guy will find a home quickly, so if you are interested in meeting him, please complete an online adoption application.
