Titanium has an adoption application pending.
This is Titanium. She is 12 months old, spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all of her vaccinations.
Titanium came to us from a puppy mill in Kansas. She was not well-socialized and is quite shy. It takes her a few days to feel comfortable in a new location, but once she feels she’s at home, she’s quite happy and is a very good watch dog. She needs a patient owner who will love her and help her work through her insecurities. She does well with other dogs and shows no interest in cats. Because of her shyness, we recommend a home without small children.
If you are interested in Titanium, please complete our online adoption application.

Mercury is an 18 month old spayed female Cocker Spaniel that came to us from a puppy mill in Kansas. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations and is micro-chipped.
Mercury was not well-socialized when she was in the puppy mill and therefore is quite shy. We feel that she would make an excellent pet to someone with a quiet household and the patience to help her work through her shyness. She gets along well with other dogs and is not interested in cats. We would not recommend placing her in a home with small children.

For Christmas this year, why not give your fur baby a new cozy bed and help an animal in rescue at the same time?
The patent pending “Amanda’s Gift” beds come in 5 sizes: X-Small (12-16″) for the cavy and ferret folks priced at $10.00, Small (22″) priced at $20.00, Medium (24-26″) priced at $30.00, Large (32″) priced at $40.00, and X-Large (40″) priced at $55.00 (Prices will be going up January 1, 2010.). These beds are for INDOOR use only. These beds have covers for those animals that like to snuggle under something soft and warm. The outside of the beds vary in fabric and the inside cover and “sleep on” part is fleece.
JBs Legacy knows that some animals come with absolutely nothing when they go into a shelter or rescue. Especially the dogs and cats from the mills. While they usually come with “mental baggage” and issues that need to be worked through, these poor unfortunate, unloved fur babies never had anything of their very own.
With this said, JBs Legacy started the Amanda’s Gift program. They hand make a crate pad/kennel pad/blanket for animals in rescue. These little “comforters” will help ease the transition to their new temporary home while they wait for adoption. Each animal will have his/her very own little gift from Amanda and you that will be a soft, fuzzy place to call their own. For each bed purchased from JB’s Legacy, a kennel blanket will be donated to a homeless, rescued animal.
For more information, contact JBs Legacy at JBsLegacy@aol.com or by calling 970-231-1024. Or better yet, visit them on November 7th and 8th at the “Holiday Gifts For Pets and Their People” event at Tagawa Gardens on Parker Road, just south of Broncos Parkway. Look for the sign that says “Tagawa Gardens Turn Here”!

Shelley, Jasper and Don
Jasper is a gorgeous puppy mill survivor with freckles on his nose who has a phenomenal new forever home with Donald and Shelley in Eaton. It didn’t take long at all before he was asking for scratches and love from his new parents, who helped him get familiar with his home by tossing a tennis ball in the back yard for him. Of course, it didn’t take Jasper long to find the cat’s food, either! He has a wonderful yard and yummy veggie garden to explore along with lots of trails. I’m sure Donald and Shelley will be taken for lots of walks from here on as Jasper takes them on tours of Eaton for many years to come. We’re also hoping that Jasper can convince his mom and dad that he needs to “pay it forward” by fostering other rescued Cockers in the years to come!

Jasper has an adoption application pending.
Jasper is a very sweet American Cocker Spaniel male between 1-2 years old. He is very thin and a rather skittish with strangers, but he quickly warms up and becomes a velcro dog who loves to give kisses and snuggle. He has just been neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. He could benefit from adding a pound or two.
Jasper seems to be house trained. He gets along with other dogs and doesn’t really pay any attention to cats. He doesn’t really like to be crated, but we’re working on that. Jasper also loves to play with balls and he LOVES children as young as 5 years old. He rides well in a car.
If you are interested in meeting Jasper, please fill out one of our online adoption applications.

Tungsten came to us from Kansas where he was part of a seizure of puppy mill dogs. He got his name at the vet clinic in Kansas that took care of him before he came into rescue, so he’s isn’t really responding to it yet. His new owner will be able to change it if they choose to do so.
Tungsten is around one year old and is very happy to be out of the puppy mill environment! He’s brown and white, not like many of the other Cocker Spaniels we’ve had in rescue. His coloring is similar to that of a Springer Spaniel. He’s very affectionate, seems to be house-trained, and is crate trained. He is also neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations.
Tungsten does well with other dogs and seems to be fine around cats. At his age, he should be fine with children as well. He still has some puppy tendencies due to lack of socialization in the fact that he wants to jump up and play. He doesn’t walk real well on a leash yet, but his foster mom will work on that. He currently shows no resource guarding issues with his foster mom, but was guarding his toys from the other dogs at his foster home. He’s very out-going and friendly and rides very well in the car.
If you are interested in meeting Tungsten, please fill out our online application form.

Ellie is as sweet as they come, she is very loving, and likes to stay by your side. Ellie is working on house training, and all her basics, as the life she led before coming into rescue was not exactly conducive to proper training. Ellie was a puppy mill dog. Dumped at a shelter when the breeder was finished with her, she came to our rescue with a surprise- Ellie is expecting puppies soon. Ellie will not be available for adoption until all her puppies are weaned and she has been spayed, but we will keep everybody updated on Ellie and her coming family on our website, so stay tuned for more exciting puppy news…

Bernie, Kiss and Janis
Our little chocolate Kiss has found a new forever home with Janis and Bernie! Kiss was a cast-off from a Missouri puppy mill after many years of producing puppies for it. A good Samaritan woman purchased Kiss at a puppy mill auction and this timid little sweetheart was soon on her way to Colorado . When she first arrived, she was so scared she barely came out of her crate. Lots of TLC by her foster mom brought her to the point where human interaction was tolerable and she was learning to interact with the foster family. When Janis inquired about Kiss, she wasn’t ready for a forever home yet, but Janis was willing to foster her to see if she could get her to settle into a new family. Love and lots of patience paid off for this little girl and her new mom and dad, Janis and Bernie. Now she prances on daily walks with Bernie and cuddles with Janis every night. She even has a new name, Hershey! Thank you, Janis and Bernie, for helping this puppy mill survivor discover what love and life is all about!

Sara, Kobi and Colin
Sara and Colin were ready for their next dog when they saw Kobi on our website and fell in love. Kobi’s calm demeanor and gentle spirit won them over immediately. Kobi is now with them in his forever home after living the first 3 years of his life in an Arkansas puppy mill in a cramped cage. He was a bit shy and withdrawn when he arrived in our rescue, but the love and attention he received while in foster care brought him out of his shell and introduced him to the wonderful world of possibilities. Kobi will be loved and embraced as a family member and receive all the love and attention he deserved. In return, Sara and Colin will receive unconditional love from a grateful young dog for many years to come.

Doris and Cruz
Doris had been looking for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for a long time when she saw Cruz’s profile on our website. She was looking for an adult Cavalier who would snuggle with her on the couch, sleep with her and be her constant companion. Poor Cruz came from a puppy mill/hoarding situation in Arkansas where approximately 500 dogs were seized from a property. He lived his entire life (about 8 years) in a cramped cage until humane law enforcement rescued him and sent him to Colorado . Cruz needed some medical attention and had to have 23 teeth pulled, but it never dampened his love for people or life. This special little boy now has a forever home with a mom who absolutely adores him. We believe the feeling is mutual! Doris and Cruz (now Riley) have found each other in this happy ending.
